Photo: Finn ewes and their lambs out grazing on a very nice pasture.
Notice the horse fencing, with 2″x4″ no climb wire. This type of fencing is more expensive, but lambs will not get their heads caught in the wire. If you save a couple of lambs, the extra cost of the fence wire is paid for.
We raise purebred, registered Finn Sheep — have 65 ewes and 15 rams.
We’re focusing on breed improvement and superior wool fleeces. At the 2016 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, we sold over 100 fleeces.
Registered Finn Sheep breeding stock is available.
Also raise straight Bluefaced Leicester sheep for wool production.
And, we have some Romney, Romney crossbreds, Bluefaced Leicester and Bluefaced crossbreds.
We offer the following: raw fleeces — roving — mill spun yarn — tanned sheepskin pelts — and freezer lamb (custom processed lamb meat).
We also have over 250 chickens for egg production.
