history-blockThe Frederick County Sheep Breeders (FCSB) will again participate in the In-The-Streets Festival — Saturday, September 9, 2017.

The FCSB booth is in the Creek Side Market area — along the Carroll Creek Linear Park — just east of the South Market Street bridge over Carroll Creek.

Dawn Richardson, and other FCSB Fiber Folks will be selling their various rovings, many varieties of hand-spun yarns, blended yarns, woolen hand-knits, woolen blankets, and figurines made with wool.

The FCSB will have a group of lambs in a pen —  with shearing demonstrations by professional shearers on how sheep are sheared, and their hooves trimmed.    These demonstrations will be held throughout the day.

The FCSB will also provide lamb tasting, sponsored by the American Lamb Board.   Go to the American Lamb Board website for great recipes, lamb cuts, resources, and more.   Open and click on the “Menu” in the upper right hand corner:

Marc Leone, a professional chef, will be cooking the lamb sausage, providing samples, and talking with folks regarding various lamb recipes.
