Cranberry Creek Fibers recently relocated from Carroll County, Maryland to carve out a small farm in North Carolina.   We still maintain strong ties to the Maryland area.

Our farm is home to a dozen English Leicester Longwool sheep, some registered, and some descendants of a Lincoln cross-bred ram.

Fleeces are white, curly locks, with staple length between 3½” and 6″ — depending on whether shorn once or twice per year.   There’s a high luster that brings jewel tones to the fiber with acid dyes.

The status of the English Leicester is noted as critical to the Livestock Conservancy.   Any purchase enables us to continue our efforts to save this important dual-purpose breed.

We have fleeces, roving, hand spun yarn, and mill spun yarn.
