2009 Frederick County Sheep Breeders annual Dinner & Social is Thursday, November 5th. at the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont. Social begins at 6:00 pm, buffet dinner at 6:30 pm. Great buffet - come hungry! John Nicodemus is the MC. Charlotte Dutton (Blue Rock Farm) is in charge of door prizes - will have plenty.
Guest speaker is Elaine Shirley, Farm manager, Colonial Williamsburg Rare Breeds Program, begun in 1986 to complement CW's 18th century living

The Frederick County Sheep Breeders major fund raiser is our food concession at Colorfest, Thurmont, MD - Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, 2009. Proceeds are used to help support many 4-H events at the Great Frederick Fair and also the Youth Sheep & Wool Skillathon at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.
We'll be in the Town Park, same location. Menu is: lamb burgers, lamb sausage sandwiches, lamb McMuffins, soda, water and coffee. Adding

Members of the Frederick County Sheep Breeders are involved in many aspects of 4-H Sheep events, Open Class Sheep events (only 3 days), and many other livestock events at the Fair.
The FCSB sponsors and provides awards in the following events:
. The four (4) 4-H Sheep Fitting and Showing Classes: 1st Year, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior: $25.00 cash award for each of the 4 events.
