The annual dinner was held at the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont. Featured speaker was Gwen Handler, MD Sheep & Wool Festival. In addition, Joe Frey, President of the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, and Bill Baker, President of the Loudoun Valley Sheep Producers also gave their greetings and updated fellow shepherds.

Once again the FCSB had successful sales of lamb burgers, lamb sausage sandwiches and lamb McMuffins at the Catoctin Colorfest, Oct. 11-12,2008. Thanks to Mark Liberto for heading up this event, and all the members and friends who manned the grills, sold food and drink, and helped educate the public
